Our Verdict
The Logitech G Pro X Wireless isn't our favorite wireless gaming headset that we have tested to date. This headset isn't the most comfortable and doesn't have the best audio quality, finishing in the middle of the group overall. It does have solid microphone quality and a few convenience features but is a bit more expensive than average. All in all, we generally would suggest other models over this one, particularly if you care more about comfort and sound quality than the convenience of a wireless model.

Our Analysis and Test Results
This wireless headset does have one of the longer claimed ranges, making it a good option if you are frequently walking away from your computer and want to stay connected but we generally don't think this is enough to warrant purchasing this model over some of the better-scoring ones.

Comfort
We started our assessment of these products by looking at how comfortable it is to wear each one of these headsets, focusing on the headbands, ear cups, and how many hours our judges would be happy wearing them. The Logitech G Pro X Wireless isn't our favorite but still merited an above-average score.
Overall, we found that this headset just isn't quite comfortable enough for us to wear for a full 8-hour day. It was fine for a half-day or even three-quarters but is far from our first choice for a marathon season.
The Logitech G Pro X Wireless definitely has a more secure fit than other options, making it just a bit less comfortable to wear for long periods.

The headband on this headset has firmer padding covered in leatherette. We found the fit to be a bit snugger than some of the others, making the Logitech G Pro X Wireless more noticeable than some of the other models. However, this did make for a very secure fit.
You have a decent amount of adjustability when it comes to the headband.

The 1.5" by 2.75" ear cups have padding that is on the softer side, with leatherette as the default fabric, though microfiber mesh is also included.

Like the headband, the ear cups do fit a little on the snug side but have ample room for most people.
We found this headset to have solid sound quality, though it did show just a bit of buzz with bass tones.

Audio
Our next metric looked at the sound quality of the Logitech G Pro X Wireless, focusing on how in-game sounds, other players, and background music came through the headset. We also looked at how well this headset blocked external noises, and helped you locate the position of in-game sounds, as well as how it performed in a trio of audio benchmarking tests. This headset again did alright, earning a score just above average.
We found the Logitech G Pro X Wireless does a good job of helping you locate the origin of in-game sounds, with our testers able to accurately determine the position of footsteps or gunfire about 80% of the time. Other players' voices sound alright but are definitely much more hollow and airy sounding than with other headsets.
The closed-back design does help minimize the impacts of background noises.

This headset also cuts down external noise by a small amount — around 25%. TV or music in the background usually makes it through but it does help with continuous background noises, like a fan. Overall, we weren't too impressed with how music sounds through this headset when using the default setting. We thought it sounded just a bit muddled, with bass tones sounding considerably weaker than we would have liked.
This held in our audio benchmarking tests, as there was significant parasitic buzz through the lower frequencies. However, this headset literally rattles when the surround sound is turned on. The Logitech G Pro X Wireless finished out our audio metric with an average performance in the driver matching test and decent results in the binaural test, mirroring its performance in our position tests.
We like that this headset makes the speaker's voice sound very realistic.

Microphone
Our next testing metric looked at the microphone quality of each gaming headset. We had other players rate how our voice sounded through this headset and looked at how well the microphone did at filtering out unwanted background noises to determine the score. The Logitech G Pro X Wireless delivered one of the better performances of the group, earning it a score quite a bit above average.
This headset does a great job of making our voices sound more true-to-life than many of the other options. It also has the Blue Vo!ce feature that improves the sound of your voice to other players even more.
We didn't find the mic to be overly sibilant and it doesn't exaggerate hard consonant sounds too much. It also does a good job at filtering out side conversations, completely eliminating them if the speaker is more than 14' away or so and only getting small amounts if they are closer.
It does a bit worse with background noises, picking up some sounds from a mechanical keyboard or a fan.
The onboard interface is very convenient.

Ease of Use
For our last metric, we looked at the user-friendliness of each headset, based on the onboard controls, how you mute the mic, if it's detachable, and if there is a mic sidetone option. The Logitech G Pro X Wireless is a bit more convenient and easy to operate than most others, earning it a score just above average.
This headset has a power switch, mute, and volume control buttons, with a fairly easy-to-use mute button that pops out when muted. It does make a sound that notifies you when you mute or unmute as well. It includes a 6' charging cable. The mic is also detachable and offers you an adjustable sidetone feature.
Value
Overall, we think this headset is a poor value purchase. Wireless options usually come at a bit of a premium and you can get a comparable or better-scoring headset for less if you don't mind sticking with a corded version.
Conclusion
The Logitech G Pro X Wireless is a decent headset but far from our favorite overall. It's a bit more expensive than comparable models and while it has some unique features, we generally would recommend other models over this one.
